activ Marketing Selects Jacob’s Foundation as 2025 Charity of the Year to Support Youth Mental Health in Wales

This Mental Health Awareness Week, activ Marketing – The Marketing Agency Franchise are proud to announce the Jacob Abraham Foundation as their official Charity of the Year for 2025. This partnership underscores activ Marketing’s commitment to highlight and help address the escalating youth mental health crisis not only in Wales, but across the UK. 

The Jacob Abraham Foundation works to prevent suicide through direct intervention with vulnerable individuals, raise awareness of mental health and suicide issues, and promote positive mental wellbeing. Based in South Wales, the foundation supports those bereaved by suicide and is dedicated to protecting young people, educating others, and strengthening local communities.

Recent data highlights the urgency of this initiative: 

● Wales reported a suicide rate of 14.0 deaths per 100,000 people in 2023, higher than England’s rate of 11.2 per 100,000, marking the highest rate in Wales since 1999 . 

● Males accounted for approximately 76% of suicides in Wales, with the highest age-specific rate among men aged 45 to 49 years at 25.5 deaths per 100,000. 

● A Public Health Wales survey in March 2025 revealed that 36% of respondents reported a decline in their mental health over the past three years, citing factors such as limited access to healthcare services and financial pressures .

As part of this year-long partnership, activ Marketing will provide complementary support to the Jacob Abraham Foundation by overhauling their current website, scaling their branding, messaging, and ultimately, elevating their digital presence for increased recognition of the foundation’s outstanding efforts.
